Obituary
Gerry A. Rutter, 81, of Freeport, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born September 14, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri she was the daughter of S. Bryson and Ruth (Abbey) Ayres. She married Royce E. Rutter August 1, 1947 and he died June 19, 2005.
Gerry worked at FHM Memorial Hospital for 24 years retiring in 1992 as Supervisor.
Surviving is her son, Daniel E. (Nancy) Rutter; daughter, Janet L. Rutter all of Freeport; her grandson, Jeffrey (Penny) Rutter of Madison, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Chaplain Don Swanson of FHN Memorial Hospital officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday 9:30 a.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
Interment of her cremated remains will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established for Friends Forever Humane Society and FHN Memorial Foundation.
