Obituary
Gladys M. Dash , age 99 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Pearl Pavilion in Freeport. She was born September 24, 1919; the daughter of Stanley and Millie (West) Goodell. She married James E. Dash on August 10, 1937; he passed on October 4, 1987.
Gladys was a homemaker and did bookkeeping for her and James' business, Dash's Modern Pumping. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery work, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles and playing cards and dominos. Gladys and James loved traveling together, especially going camping and fishing. She was a loving wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Donald (Theresa) Dash of Lena and Ronald (Judy) Dash of MI; daughters, JoAnn (Richard) DelFiacco-Vettore of Rockford and Alice (Darrell) Kurtz of Freeport; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; daughter, Janet; son, Dennis; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 7 th at 1:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in her name.Services
