Grady Grant Bowers

Grady Grant Bowers, age 16 of Freeport/Davis, is now resting peacefully after passing away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

Grady was born on June 15, 2009, the son of Erin (Judd) Price and Chris Bowers. He lived a life surrounded by love. He was affectionate and adored being loved on by his family and friends. "Gradybug" had an infectious smile and unforgettable belly laugh that will be missed by all who knew him. At age 7, Grady was given the opportunity to live and attend school at Walter Lawson Children's Home, where he was surrounded by the most loving residents and staff that became his second family.

He is survived by his parents, Erin (Mark) Price of Freeport and Chris (Karrie) Bowers of Lake Summerset; brother, Avery Bowers; step-brother, Carson Price; step-sisters, Kennedy Price, Addison Ferguson, and Brynlee Ferguson; grandparents, Kathy & Steve Judd and Dean & Brenda Bowers; great grandparents, Don & Carolyn Bowers, Marlene Crase, and Paul Jansen & Jan Welsh; aunts, Heather (Mark) Fulara and Nikki (Tony McDonald) Bowers; uncle, Ryan (Sarah) Judd; and cousins, Henry, Ivy, Kinsley, Bryant, Brycen, and Bowen. He was preceded in death by many great grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota, IL. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friends and family are encouraged to wear green which was Grady's color. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
