Gregory James Brown, 54 of Freeport died Thursday May 6, 2010 at his home. Born May 12, 1955 in Beloit, WI he was the son of Irene (James) Penwell and Theodore R. Brown Jr. He was a Veteran of the United States Army from 1973-1977. On March 3, 1979 he and Judy Boomgarden were married in Freeport. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, car shows, woodworking and photography. He worked as a self employed carpenter and was a member of the NRA. Surviving are his wife Judy of Freeport; his mother Irene of Yellville, AK; daughter Angie Curtiss of Scales Mound; son Patrick (Kristina) Brown of Freeport; two grandsons Adam and Hunter Curtiss of Scales Mound; two sisters Dawn Nath of Yellville, AK, Anita (Jim) Hendershot of Beloit, WI; two brothers Daymon Brown of Siren, WI, Gerald Brown of Yellville, AK; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceding him in death are his father, step father James and brother, Timothy.
