Gregory J. Rada Sr., 69, of Freeport, IL passed away at home on Sunday, August 13, 2023.  He was born June 6th, 1954, in Durand WI.  The son of the late Charles and Irene Rada.

On July 28th, 1972, he married his wife, Joan Rundall.  They had 51 great years together.

From 1972 to 1976, Gregory served in the United States Air Force.  Spending time in Montana and Alaska guarding missiles.

Gregory graduated from Aquin High School and received a degree from Highland Community College in Automotive Repair.  He loved working on cars and going to car shows.

He worked as a prison guard at Piedmont Correctional Institution in North Carolina. Gregory also worked at the Ford Dealership while in North Carolina.  He later drove cement trucks at BeeLine.

He is survived by his wife Joan and three sons:  Gregory Jr (Kimberly) and Michael of Freeport IL and Nathanial of Wheeling IL.  Two grandchildren:  Elizabeth (Adam) Peterson of Polo IL and Mathias Rada of Freeport IL. A great granddaughter, Amelia Peterson and great grandson Jaxson Peterson of Polo IL. Two sisters:  Judy (Roger) Johnson Freeport IL and Kathy Rada Harris San Antonio TX, and several nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
