Cedarville
Gwendolyn Lou Cummins, 82, of Cedarville, died Thursday, December 31, 2015, at her home in Cedarville surrounded by her husband, children, her pastor Steve Rios and his wife, Linda.
Born September 23, 1933 in Rock Grove, Illinois she was the daughter of Guy and Marie (Schurch) Gill. She married her High School sweet heart, Leonard D. Cummins October 2, 1954.
She was a 1951 graduate of Orangeville High School.
Gwendolyn worked for the airport system at Midway in Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle. She worked at Micro Switch, Sears and retired from J.C. Penney.
She was a member of Emmanuel Church in Cedarville.
Surviving are her husband, Leonard of Cedarville; her children, Jeffrey (Diane) Cummins, Brad (Teresa) Cummins, Barry (Jill) Cummins, Tana (Jeff) Hellwig all of Freeport; and Rhonda (Brad) Giedd of Cedarville; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her sister, Gloria (Don) Miller of Davis; her brother, Larry (Colleen) Gill of Rockton; her sister-in-laws, Lorraine Stabenow of Cedarville, Marilyn Cummins of Freeport, and Clara Gill of Rock City; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 1 brother, Robert Gill.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Emmanuel Church in Cedarville.
There will be a visitation Wednesday 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at Emmanuel Church.
Burial will be in the Cedarville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Emmanuel Church in Cedarville.
