Hans A. Midstokke, age 91 of Freeport, IL, died peacefully with his family at his bedside in Minnesota on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He was born January 22, 1926 in Sharon, ND; the son of the late Hans and Petra Midstokke. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in engineering. Hans proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. On December 23, 1950, Hans married Dilys Rowland in Grand Folks, ND; she passed on November 8, 2010.

He had worked for the Bureau of Public Roads from 1951 through 1955. He then worked for Micro Switch/Honeywell from, 1955 until he retired in 1985. Hans loved golf and had several Hole in Ones at Park Hills. He also loved woodworking, being "Mr. Fix-it", and traveling. Hans was a very active member of First Lutheran Church in Freeport.

He is survived by his daughter, Peggy of North Carolina and sons, Keith and Paul both of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 60 years, Dilys; and siblings, Phyllis and Phillip.
