Harold E. Bowers , age 92 of Freeport, IL passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Pearl Pavilion. He was born in Freeport on June 18, 1925 to the late Clifford and Christine (Bowman) Bowers. Harold married Mary Gordon on May 10, 1947.

He retired from the Central Gulf Railroad and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Harold is survived by his son, Jerry (Jodie) Bowers of Leaf River; his two grandsons, Jeremy and Joseph Bowers; his two granddaughters and his three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary.
