Harold John Decknadel, 87, formerly of German Valley died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born the son of Epke E. and Emily Decknadel on September 10, 1918. He married Margaret Furlong on September 15, 1949. She died February 14, 2006. Harold farmed in the German Valley area prior to moving to Phoenix in 1956. He retired in 1980 from the City of Phoenix then moved to Camp Verde, Arizona in 1987. He is survived by his stepdaughter Mary (Thomas) White of Valley Lee, MD; three grandchildren, seven great-grand children, two great great-grandchildren; John Huyck, nephew; Carol Ann Braun, niece both of Rockford; many cousins and dear friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, and one sister Esther Huyck. Margaret and Harold were loved by all who new them and will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 18, 2006 at the German Valley Silver Creek Reformed Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Jamerson officiating.
