Harry Bowers Jr., 90, of Lanark, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Neighbors Nursing Center in Byron.
Born December 10, 1922 in Polo he was the son of Harry and Ina (Tillman) Bowers. He married Shirley Baldwin November 30, 1944
He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corp.
Harry was an owner of Bowers Brother's Construction Company. He was also a long time Farmer.
Surviving is his wife, Shirley of Lanark; his daughter, Pamela (Cris) Wooden of Kingston, Oklahoma; his son Michael Ray Bowers of Streamwood; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services and Interment of his cremated remains will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Association
