Freeport – Harvey A. Wolf, 86 of rural Freeport passed away at his home, where he was born, surrounded by his family.  Born on March 22, 1935 to the late Milton and Leuina (Albright) Wolf.  He married Cheralyn Peters on September 17, 1955 in Rock City and together they raised a family while working the family farm.

He loved farming, raising Appaloosa horses and driving truck.  He was a lifetime member of the Freeport Mennonite Church and he was also a bus driver for the Dakota Public Schools.

He is survived by his wife, his sons, Michael (Sue Shelby) Wolf of Davis, IL and Karl (Kathy) Wolf of Freeport, IL; also his daughter Sarah Wolf of Murrieta, CA. His sister-in-law Joyce Schubert of Mt. Carroll, IL also survives him.  His legacy includes grandchildren Ben (Megan) Wolf, Curtis Fay-Wolf, step- grandchildren Joel Fay, Melissa Smith and Alex Fay. One great grandchild, Olivia Wolf and 5 step great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Nathan Wolf; a grandson, Timothy Wolf; 2 nephews, Ransom and Wayne Wolf as well as his daughter-in-law, Kathy Jo (Bonjour) Wolf.

Cremation rites were accorded and services will be held November 13th at the Freeport Mennonite Church at 10am.  A memorial has been established in his name. Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com .
