Hazel M. Wilson, 95, of Freeport, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Manor Court in Freeport
Born March 6, 1921 near Dakota, Illinois she was the daughter of Clare and Susan (Cahoon) Miller. She married Willard Hack' Wilson on June 22, 1940.
Hazel graduated from Orangeville High School. She retired from Crum and Forster Insurance CO after 20 years of service. They had a happy and blessed marriage of 57 years. She enjoyed being with her family during trips out East and on various holidays. After retirement, Hack and Hazel enjoyed traveling to many beautiful locations. She also enjoyed watching the NBA (Chicago Bulls) play basketball while living at Liberty Village along with the staff and residents there.
Surviving are her two children Pat (Pete) Stukenberg of Savanna, Georgia and Dean (Kathleen) Wilson of Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She has 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Hazel has two sisters, Bonnie Estes of Rockford, IL and Dorothy Lafferty of Sarasota, Florida.
Predeceasing her are her husband, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 granddaughter (Kate Wilson).
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Faith United Methodist church.
Visitation will be Saturday 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Faith United Methodist Church.
