Helen Marie (Shippy) Lincoln, 90, of Rock City passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 01, 2013 at her home.
Born June 10, 1923 in Scioto Mills, she was the daughter of Grover C. and Inez M. (Frank) Shippy.
Helen attended school in Red Oak.
On May 16, 1940 she and Lyle F. "Tater" Lincoln were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1987.
She worked beside her husband on their farm. She always had a large garden and did a lot of canning while raising their children.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Richard) Spangler of Freeport, Laura (Tommy) Page of Pecatonica; three sons Larry (Susan) Lincoln of Davis, Loran Lincoln of Rock City and LeRoy (Peggy) Lincoln of Dakota; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister Viola "Katie" Ferguson of Roscoe; one sister-in-law Elizabeth Sigafus of Pecatonica; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and four brothers Robert, Roland and two in infancy. Visitation will be Sunday August 4, 2013, from 2 - 5 p.m. at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home with Reverend Dennis Buss officiating.
Burial will be at the Dakota Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her name.
