Freeport-Helen A. Meyer, 85, of Freeport, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
Born January 10, 1921 in Oakley, Wisconsin she was the daughter of A. Glen and Flossie (Herbert) Davis. She married Leo F. Meyer January 10, 1942 in Freeport and he died October 20, 1991.
She worked at Micro Switch retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles.
Surviving is her son, David L. Meyer of Freeport; grandchildren, Stacy L. Newman of Kalispell, Montana and Daryl F. Meyer of Newbern, North Carolina.
Her parents; husband; sister, Florence Hille; and daughter in-law, Tina Meyer preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
