Helen A. Schleich, 86, of Freeport, died Saturday January 2, 2016 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. Born December 20, 1929 in Freeport she was the daughter of Otto Louis and Charolotte Louise (Ottenhausen) Huesing. On September 11, 1954 she married Gerald Schleich at St. Mary's Church in Freeport, IL. He preceded her in death in December 29, 2004.

Helen attended Freeport Schools thru the 12th grade then went on to work for Freeport Beauty Service; C & W Jewelry as a bookkeeper; Lindgren Accounting Service, and helped her husband with Schleich Accounting Service.

Surviving are her children, Rita Schleich of Freeport; Anita (Richard) Olsen of Estherville, IA; Patricia (Gregory) Aaby of Freeport; Mary (Robert) Pleticha of Elgin, and David (Wendy)Schleich of Buffalo Grove; her sister-in-law, Mary Beth (Joe) Clouser of Milton, WI; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Schleich of Mundelin, Benjamin and Kari Aaby of Freeport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, 1 son Gerald Joseph, 1 infant sister and 2 brothers Karl and Harold Huesing; and a daughter-in-law Cynthia Schleich.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday January 23, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freeport. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
