Obituary
Freeport-Helen L. Yeager, 94, of Freeport, died Saturday, October 23, 2004, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born November 1, 1909 in Lena she was the daughter of Herman and Mable (Holmes) Uhe. She married Oliver Yeager December 10, 1932 in Lena and he died November 6, 1997 in Freeport.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Helen was a loving and caring person who enjoyed helping her friends and neighbors.
Surviving is her daughter, Mary Lou (Keith) Gerdes; 1 grandson, Robert Gerdes; 4 great great grandchildren, Samantha, Alicia, Roberta, and Jonathan Gerdes all of Freeport; sister in-law, Gladys Yeager of Rockford.
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 2 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Reverend Mark Luepke officiating. Burial will be in the Lena Burial Park,
Visitation will be Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
