Henry R. "Bud" Bloom, 87, of Freeport, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Parkview Home.
Born May 23, 1921 in Freeport he was the son of Royal J. and Anna B. (Propp) Bloom.
He married Dena Dikkers October 22, 1949 and she died in 2002
He was a Bookkeeper for WT Rawleigh Company for 34 years retiring in 1981.
Bud was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and was an Army veteran serving from 1942 to 1946.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and 3 sisters, Marie MacKenzie, Alice Deckert, and Lona Kinney.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 1:30 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday 12:30 p.m. until time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for St. John United Church of Christ.
