Freeport – Henry R. Klosa, 91 of Freeport died on November 27, 2024 at Manor Court in Freeport.  He was born on July 21, 1933 in Freeport to Arthur and Martha (Ruthe) Klosa.  Henry graduated from Freeport High School and then he married Matilda Holbert on June 30, 1951 and together they raised a family.  She passed September 2, 2014.

Henry worked for the Belvidere Chrysler corporation in Beloit for 25 years.  He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Freeport.

Henry is survived by his daughter, Pam Fluegel of rural Freeport and his sister, Sandy Marceau of Forreston as well as his 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Robert Klosa.  His brothers Arthur Klosa Jr. and Joseph Klosa.  His sisters, Nonie Burds, Joyce Kurtz and Eileen Meyer.

A memorial has been established in his name for the Salvation Army.  There will be a service held at Walker Mortuary on Saturday, December 14, 2024 beginning at 11am.  As per Henry's request, there will be no visitation gathering prior.  His final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.
