Henry Alfred Overturf Jr, 62, passed away on December 31, 2021 at his home in Freeport Illinois. He was

born on May 26th, 1959, in Springfield Illinois to Henry and Iona Overturf. Hank grew up in Morganfield

Ky and followed his big sister around everywhere. His nickname growing up was boo boo. He attended

Union County High in Morganfield Kentucky. He joined the Navy at 17 and was on the USS Nimitz as well

as completing several tours overseas. He enjoyed discussing all of the various things that he did in the

military as well as taking small day trips to see different things. He recently discovered tiktok and

enjoyed making videos and posting them on this platform. He loved petting his dog Dude and watching

him play in the snow. Hank is survived by his daughter Brandi Overturf of Freeport Illinois; his sister Viki

Rose, of Morganfield Kentucky; his grandchildren Joseph Dever, Aydan Dever, Lorelei Dever, and Dean

Dever; and his nieces, Kandi Rose and Kellie Hughes, as well as his great niece, Autumn, and great

nephew, Malcom, and other various relatives. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr and

Iona, His wife Virginia, and his grandson Michael. A memorial service will be held later this year when

the weather is warmer as Hank wanted to be cremated and lovingly joked about wanting to share space

with his wife to fight over space in their coffee can
