Irene Julius, 96, of Monroe, Wisconsin, formerly of Lena, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015, at Manor Court.
Born March 2, 1919 in Lena she was the daughter of George and Ida (Busjahn) Baker. She married Floyd Julius September 29, 1940. He passed away November 18, 2006.
Irene and her husband farmed near Waddams Grove until retiring. They both enjoyed spending winters together in Arizona.
Irene was an avid card player, and a fantastic baker known for her wonderful pies. She loved spending time with her family and baking for them.
Surviving are her daughters, Sylvia Henze of Dakota and Judy (Norman) Schroeder of Plymouth, Wisconsin; one son, Jeff (Sally) Julius of Lena; one daughter in-law, Arden Julius of Lena; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her son, Leonard; 3 sisters, Marjorie Edler, Lucille Baker, and Eldora Smith; her son-in-law, Jerald Henze; and her grandchild, Cheryl Cocanower.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Evangelical Free Church of Lena with Pastor Jim Erb officiating. Visitation will be Friday
1 p.m. until time of service at the Church.
Burial will be in the Waddams Grove Cemetery
A memorial has been established for the Evangelical Free Church of Lena.
