Isabel L. Baldwin, 99, of Freeport, died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Parkview Home.
Born May 22, 1908 in Freeport she was the daughter of Fred and Emily (Oelke) Frank. She married Robert L. Baldwin August 30, 1958 in Chicago and he preceded her in death.
She worked for Freeport Printing 21 years and then for 26 years at Freeport Journal Standard where she retired.
She was a 65-year member of St. John United Church of Christ where at one time she sang in the Choir and belonged to the EES Circle.
She was a member of Capernaum Shrine and the YWCA for over 60 years.
Surviving are her stepson, Robert L. (Carla) Baldwin of Houston, Texas; one stepdaughter, Shirley (James) Asher of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; 3 step granddaughters, Wendy J. (Bill) Schmidt of Blanchardville, WI, Jody L. (Stan) Petta of Freeport, and Rhonda L. (Bruce) Allen of Rockford;
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one stepdaughter, Barbara Beam; 2 sisters; 1 nephew; and 1 niece.
Funeral service will be Monday 1:30 p.m.at Parkview Home with Reverend Donnley Dutcher of St. John United Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Friends may call at time of service at Parkview Home.
