Cedarville- Jack M. Shuey, 81, of Cedarville, died Monday, January 24, 2005, at Freeport Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Born November 30, 1923 in Freeport he was the son of Garreth H. and Edna M. (Schopf) Shuey. He married Norma Jean Hutmacher May 31, 1947 and she died in 1988. He married Betty Oswalt Mellentine in August of 1989.
Jack worked at Micro Switch for 24 years and began J&N Tool Company in 1964 retiring in 1985.
A World War II veteran his memberships included, Cedarville Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church, and the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Betty of Cedarville; sons, Mark Shuey of Fulton and Lynn Shuey of Cedarville; daughter, Joan (Paul) Baumann of St. Charles; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
His parents; first wife; and one brother James and 1 grandchild Charlene Shuey preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be Saturday 10:00 am at Cedarville Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church with Reverend Jack Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Cedarville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 pm at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Cedarville Emmanuel Evangelical Church.
