Obituary

Freeport – Jack M. Wilson, 76 of Freeport passed away at Pearl Pavilion in Freeport on September 23, 2025.  He was born on November 11, 1948 to the late Walter and Betty (Teeple) Wilson.  He was a Veteran of the Army serving at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO from 1969-1971.  He enjoyed watching his grandchildren compete in all of their sporting events.  When the kids were young, he was known to tinker with small engines to create all kinds of fun things for their enjoyment, whether it was a mini bike, snowmobile or golf cart.

He is survived by his sons, Jamie (Heather) Wilson of Orangeville and Jayson (Lisa Bauer) Wilson of Lena; His brother Jared (Jean) Wilson of Panama City, FL;

His legacy includes his grandchildren Kayla Wilson (Kyle) of Lanark; Kalli (Jessie) Van Loo of Mt. Carroll; Abigail Lawson of Lena; Ashleigh Wilson of Lena; Ian Wilson of Monroe, WI; Adrianna Curran of Lena and Alizabeth Wilson of Stockton.

Jack's Great Grandchildren are, Lennox Lawson; Laikyn Lawson; Carlisle White and Wrenly Huerta.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Joel Wilson and his former wife, Willamette Wilson.

The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their care and compassion during Jack's hospice journey.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there are no services planned at this time.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com.
