Jacklyn J. Magee, 78, of Freeport, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Stephenson Nursing Center.
Born March 8, 1936 in Freeport she was the daughter of Walter and Emma (Ruthe) Weier. She married Robert L. Magee August 30, 1991 and he died November 8, 2011.
She worked at St. Francis Hospital in Freeport until her retirement.
She enjoyed bowling, knitting, reading, crochet, and was an avid Cub Fan.
Surviving are seven daughters, Dawn (Kenneth) Rowe of Rockford, Dani (Jim) Eads of Wisconsin, Darcell (Robert) Snyder of Monroe, Wisconsin, Delanna (Andy) Ericksen of Monroe, Wisconsin, Delores (Alex) Holloway of Freeport, Doreen (Alan) Schiess of Lena, and Donita (Frank) Verdier of Arkansas; one brother, Wayne "Butch" (Nancy) Weier of Dakota; 25 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Debra Smull; one grandchild, Matthew Schiess; one great grandchild Darius Blunt; one niece, Kimberly Schultz; and one nephew, Wes Weier.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Fred Woodruff.
Burial of her cremated remains will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
