Jacqueline (Jackie/Susie) Lee Rundall , 75 of Freeport passed away peacefully at Journey Care Hospice, Barrington, IL Monday, September 25, 2023.  She was born August 27, 1948 in Woodstock IL to Steven & Deloras Saban, oldest of 4 siblings.  She married Burton L. Rundall on November 7, 1986 in Freeport, Il where they built their life together.

After graduating from Crystal Lake Central High School in Crystal Lake, IL, she achieved her bachelor's degree from Illinois State University majoring in education and English.  She began her career as a teacher in Ames, Iowa and taught English as a second language for 4 years.  To be closer to home, she started working in the Insurance industry as an adjuster and other positions for different companies.  She moved from insurance to work at Freeport Health Network for 20 years until she retired.

Throughout her life, Jackie/Susie was truly cherished and loved her family and all her friends.  She enjoyed baking (especially her secret brownie recipe), loved to be part of family activities and especially to be surrounded by and play with all the kids.  She also enjoyed reading, photography, traveling and cross-country skiing.  Everyone who knows her well knows that she was an unusually kind and gentle soul who's first priority was the needs of others!

She is survived by her husband, Burton of Freeport; Brother, Mark (Mary) Saban of Popular Grove, IL; Sister, Mary Sue Justen of Woodstock IL; Step-son, Scott (Sandy) Rundall of Bartonville, IL; Step-grandson, Benjamin Rundall of Phoenix, Arizona; Aunt/Best Friend Bonnie Saban of Crystal Lake, IL.  Jackie also leaves behind so many more cherished family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Steven & Deloras Saban and her brother S. David Saban.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, September 28 from 4pm-7pm at Walker Mortuary in Freeport, IL with a Rosary Service at 3:30pm. The funeral service will be Friday, September 29, 10:30am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Freeport, IL with a celebration of life luncheon at the church following gravesides services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Jackie's favorite charities are Children's Educational Initiatives, Cancer Society and Hospice.
