James Brechlin, age 64 of Ridott, IL, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born April 5, 1957; the son of Channing and Angeline (Nicolopulos) Brechlin. He graduated from East Rockford High School and went on To Roosevelt College in Chicago. He married Shelia Sherwood on October 19, 2014.

Jim was a bassist in the Rockford Symphony and performed for 30 years with the Rockford Symphony and for 25 years for the Janesville/Beloit Symphony. He also was a cook at the Ground Round restaurant in Rockford for many years. Most recently he owned a bike shop in Pecatonica, IL. His passion was singing and he loved working at the bike shop. He also composed his own music.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Brechlin of Ridott; Shelia's 3 children and 9 grandchildren; his mother Angeline Brechlin of Ridott; his siblings, Fred, Channing, Kane, Raymond, George, Eve, and Nikki; several nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and sister, Laura.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Community Church in Davis, IL at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 ^th with a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in his name
