James R. Fuchs , age 47 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on Friday, May 25, 2018. He was born October 27, 1970; the son of Michael Fuchs and Nancy (Reeter) Thruman. He attended Lena High School.

James had previously worked at Stoughton Trailers but was a lifelong handyman. He was always the person to call when anything needed fixed or repaired. There wasn't a job he couldn't do or a tool he didn't have. He loved being by the river and fishing. He will be remembered for his contagious smile and ability to make people happy.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy (Fred) Thruman of Freeport; sons, Cody and Gunnar Fuchs both of Orangeville, IL; brothers, William (Jackie) Guy of Orangeville and Jason Fuchs of Freeport; and sister, Michele Guy of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael.
