James D. Garber 19362016
James D. Garber, 79, of Forreston, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at his home. Born October 26, 1936, in Freeport; the son of Daniel S. and Pearl A. (Huntzberry) Garber. James was a lifetime Ogle County farmer and a member of the West Branch Church of the Brethren in Polo. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed working with his guns. Surviving are his niece, Trudy (John) Moore) of Freeport; brother-in-law, Irvin Wubbena of Freeport; great-nephews, Daniel (Stacey) Moore of Freeport, and Alex (Alyssa) Moore of San Diego, California; great-great-niece, Fiona Moore of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Wubbena.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2016, at West Branch Cemetery in Polo. A memorial has been established in his name. Please leave a message in James guestbook at www.walkermortuary.com.
