James A. Miller , age 72 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the UW Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born February 28, 1948; the son of the late Allen and Betty (Winters) Miller. He attended Pearl City High School. James served in the United States Army stationed in Germany.

He married Lillie Gonzales on August 17, 1968. James was a truck driver all of his life. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Miller of Freeport; children, Michelle (Tim) Jacobs and Christopher (Jody) Miller; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Dale (Barb) Miller, Gerald Miller, Dennis Miller, Randy (Late Sallie) Miller, and Cheryl (Tim) Hultine; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Earl Miller, Doug Miller, and Wayne Miller.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16 ^th at 10:00 a.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
