Freeport – James "Jim" L. Stilson, 56 of Freeport passed away at FHN Memorial Hospital on February 4, 2022 after an extended illness.  He was born on November 14, 1965 to Harold and Arlene (Bond) Stilson.  He graduated from Freeport High School in 1983.  He married Colleen Graves on November 11, 1989 and together they raised a family.

He enjoyed trucking for a living, and he was an avid hunter in his earlier years.  He loved to work with wood, cars and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his parents, his wife and his children Ty Stilson of Washington and Danielle (John) Webb of Freeport as well as his brother Bruce (Stephanie) Stilson of Iowa.  His legacy also includes his grandchildren, Montanna, Gabriel and Steven Webb of Freeport.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his Aunt Linda Anspach.  Cremation rites were accorded.  A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, May 14th at 11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Freeport. Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com .
