James Frank Trimble, 86, of Freeport, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at his home.
Born September 6, 1929 in Sterling he was the son of Harry and Bessie (Frank) Trimble. He married Lucille Schauer June 2, 1951 and she died in 1987. He married Betty Forester December 17, 2005.
Jim was a Tire Inspector for Kelly Springfield Tire Company retiring after 22 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Jim was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Betty of Freeport; his children, Larry (Jean) Trimble and Terry (William) Olmstead both of Freeport; his sisters, Bernice Basslar of Pennsylvania Geraldine (Walter) Whitney of Rockford, Beulah (Royal) Shippe of Arizona, Marjorie Rose of Loves Park. Carol "Elaine" (Dean) Beasley of Mansfield; his brothers, Marvin Trimble of Freeport and John (Mary Ann) Trimble of Dakota; his sister-in-law, Carol Trimble of Milwaukee; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lucille; his brother, Roger Trimble; and his sisters, Ruth Byl and Marion Lapp.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2015 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary on Monday.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Trinity United Methodist Church.
