Jamie S. Jones Brown, 50 of Freeport passed away at home on Monday, December 5, 2011 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 18, 1961 in Freeport she was the daughter of Larry and Sylvia (Luke) Jones.
She was a 1979 graduate of Freeport High School and a 1981 graduate of Swedish American Hospital School of Radiology. Former employment included Swedish American Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Ashville, NC and Freeport Memorial Hospital, for the last 17 years Cub Foods of Freeport, IL.
She is survived by her parents, her children, Shana Brown at home, Laramie (Brandy Baes) Brown of Freeport; step-children Melissa (Tony) Bradbury and Joshua (Sara) Brown of Freeport; grandchildren Chloe Baes-Brown and Gavin and Owen Bradbury; sisters Jodie (Randy) Skeel Sr. of Freeport and Julie (David) Smith of Orangeville; nieces and nephews Breanna and Jacob Smith, and Logan, Katie and Randy (Kristina) Skeel Jr.; aunts Betty Lou Jones of Freeport and Linda Gilbertson of Winslow; uncle Denny Luke of Lena. Very special friends Deb Rudy, Corinne Wallace, Kellie Brawner, Rose Davis, Dr. Rose Stocker, Bev Hedinsky, Connie Wilson, Denise Wierzycki and many other cousins and friends.
