Freeport – Janet J. (Brinkmeier) Heuser, 63 of Freeport passed away at St. Joseph's Ascension Living Center.  She was born on February 3, 1959 in Freeport to the late Dale and Guy (McConnell) Brinkmeier.  She was a graduate of Pearl City High School in 1977 and then she graduated from Elgin Community College with an Associate's degree in 2009.  She married Paul Heuser on June 16, 1984. He passed away in 2009.

She was a member of Zion Community Church in Pearl City.  She maintained a church card ministry there for years and was still sending out cards to loved ones, church members and friends in her final days. Janet's smile, witty sense of humor along with her consistent sharing of uplifting scripture and card ministry will be missed by all.  She loved sewing blankets and baby layette sets and crocheting prayer shawls.  She was a very caring and giving person.

She is survived by her sister, Connie (Robert) Homan of Jamestown, TN; her sister-in-law, Bert (Dale) Brinkmeier of Freeport and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dale Brinkmeier.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 beginning at 10AM until 11:30AM at Zion Community Church in Pearl City.  There will be a service immediately following at 11:30AM.  There will be a luncheon to follow the service. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
