Janice Marie Koester, 69 of Davis formerly of Rock Grove, died Saturday April 24, 2010 at her home with her family by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 12, 1940 at Lake Geneva, WI she was the daughter of William and Leona (Cummings) Dundee. She and Arlan D. Koester were married on June 10th 1961. He preceded her in death. Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved reading, watching old western movies, going on weekend getaways, spending time with her family, friends and her dog "Snickers".
She is survived by two daughters Helen (John) Ortman of Freeport, Alice (Kevin) Fosler of Davis; three sons Mark Koester of Freeport, Herman (Toni) Koester of Orangeville, Eric (Nicole) Koester of Apple Valley Cal.; eleven grandchildren Cory, Kenny, Miranda, Adam, Matthew, Vicki, Mikayla, Chastity, Samantha, Aubry and Arlan; five great grandchildren Derrick, Makayla, Michael, Peyton and Johnna-Lee; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, two sisters, Evelyn Tucker, Adeline Winstead; four brothers Walter, Elwood, Marvin and Eugene Dundee.
