Janice K. Schult, age 82 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 26, 2021. She was born September 20, 1938; the daughter of the late Donald and Betty (Engle) Hepner. She married Roger Schult on February 15, 1957 and they enjoyed over forty years of marriage.

Janice was a considerate and loving person. Her first love was her Lord Jesus, her faith was a constant comfort as she battled Parkinson's. Her family was her joy. She was blessed with four children and many grandchildren. She loved and cherished every one of them.

She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Freeport where she served in whatever way possible.

She loved reading, playing the piano, writing poetry, flower gardening and arranging, arts and crafts and playing cards and board games with family.

Janice is survived by her children, Steve (Linda) Schult of Sun Prairie, WI, Susan (Bob) Russow of Brandon, WI, Jeffrey (Lori) Schult of Davis, IL, and Wendy (Blake) Klosa of Freeport; 19 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and her sister, Jackie (Wayne) Kramer of Goshen, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; brother, Jack; and sister, Judy.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Freeport. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A special thank you  to the staff at FHN Hospice especially Laura, Candice, Sarah and Deb. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church or FHN Hospice.
