Jay D. Long, 44, of Rockford, formerly of Davis, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at his home in Rockford.
Born October 1, 1966 in Freeport he was the son of Lloyd and Janice (Heitkam) Long. Jay was a 1984 graduate of Dakota High School and enjoyed playing horseshoes and riding motorcycles.
He worked 20 years at Estwing Manufacturing Company in Rockford. He was an avid Bears fan.
Surviving are his parents of Rockford; 1 brother, Kevin (Jill) Long of Elburn; 1 nephew, Joshua Long of Elburn; aunts, uncles and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle.
