Jean-Claude Henri Phillippon, was affectionately known as J-C passed away on December 6, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.  At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his family.  Jean-Claude was known as a loving and dedicated Father and Husband.

Born in the Parisian suburbs of France on October 22, 1950, J-C cherished his French heritage.  As a young man, he served as a 2nd Lt. in the French Air Force, an experience that shaped his discipline and adventurous spirit.  J-C came to the United States in 1974 and settled in St. Joseph MI.  There he worked as a translator for Hewlett - Packard.

Jean-Claude later relocated to Freeport, Illinois where he worked at Micro Switch, Honeywell, as a Global Product Manager.  Over the course of his 35-year career, he earned a master's degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and became known for his innovative thinking and tireless dedication to his work.

J-C had a deep interest in electronics, often spending time repairing or tinkering with gadgets at home.  He enjoyed sharing the results of his work with friends and family, always happy to show a small fix he was proud of. Jean-Claude also loved traveling, appreciated vacationing with his family and exploring the USA and other Countries.

Surviving is his loving wife, Frances Phillippon, Sons; Andre', Jean-Louis and James Hebbard; brothers, Michel Phillippon (Irene), Daniel Phillippon; Sister-in-law Elizabeth Bowen (Scott), Brother-in-law Henry Villegas (Deanna).

There will be a visitation on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2-4pm at Walker Mortuary, Freeport, Illinois.  A full mass service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic church of Freeport at 10am.  His final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery in Freeport, Illinois.
