Obituary

FREEPORT - Jean V. Mack, 90, of Freeport died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at Manor Court of Liberty Village in Freeport.
Born June 16, 1916, in McConnell, she was the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Klontz) Wichman. On Aug. 17, 1936, she married Walter D. Mack, who preceded her in death in May 1997.
Jean worked for Newell Company for 10 years and was a lifetime member of Van Brocklin United Methodist Church. Other memberships included the United Methodist Women, and the Pearl City Auxiliary Unit 1014 of the American Legion.
Surviving are her two sons, Richard (Karen) Mack of Poynette, Wis., and David (Gale) Mack of St. Charles; one sister, Phyllis (Harry) Adams of Norfolk, Va.; and one sister-in- law, Barbara Wichman of Lena; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Larry Mack who died in Vietnam; one brother, Clark Wichman; and one grandson, Randall Mack.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Van Brocklin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rodney Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for the Van Brocklin United Methodist Church.
