Freeport: Jean Annabelle Schlamp, 79, of Freeport, died Tuesday September 27, 2005 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born September 26, 1926 she was the daughter of Harry and Mabel (Oswalt) Wittbecker. On November 5, 1956 she married William "Junie" Schlamp in Dubuque, Iowa. Jean was a graduate of Freeport High School Class of 1944 and worked for Fairbanks-Morris and Micro Switch for a number of years after graduating. She loved taking care of her family and following her grandchildren in their many activities. Surviving are her husband, two sons, William (Vicki) Schlamp III of Freeport and Ray(Carol Hill)Dominguez Jr. of Freeport, two daughters, Sue (Don) Parkhurst of Long Beach, CA and Jody (Jerry) Harnish of Freeport, six grandchildren, Alyssa Schlamp, Adam Schlamp, Amy Mantzke, Bobby Mantzke, Jeremy Harnish and Joshua Harnish, three sisters, Jeanette Kunkle, Betty (LaVerne) Stubbe and Doris Larsen all of Freeport and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brother's, Harold Wittbecker and Willard Wittbecker, four sisters, Lilas "Kate" Maher, Marie Anderson, Ruby Monigold and Isabelle Marsh. Following Jean's wishes cremation rites were accorded and a private family service will be held. There will be no visitation.
