Jeanne D. Fiene, 72 of rural Davis passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her home with her loving husband and constant caregiver by her side.
Born November 2, 1940 in Urbana, IL she was the daughter of Darwin and Jeannette (Ascher) Fulfer.
She was a 1958 graduate of Freeport High School.
On August 17, 1958 she and Richard Fiene were united in marriage at Embury United Methodist Church in Freeport. For almost 20 years she worked for Best In Sight in Freeport. She was a member of St. Paul Church of Epleyanna where she was a member of the women's choir and helped with the Bible School. Jeanne was also active with the Stephenson County Fair Board, superintendent of the baked goods, started the entertainment tent and was on the board of directors. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren attending all of their activities. She was an avid gardener.
Surviving are her husband of rural Davis, children Tam and Tom Miller of Lake Carroll, Suzie and Steve Dornink of Freeport, Kurt and Jamie Fiene, Kenton, OH; grandchildren Ashley and Josh Parkinson, Zach and Lindsey Miller, Rachel, Erik and Evan Dornink, Courtney, Caitlin, Michael , Natalie, Cassie Fiene, Tonya and Jon Wise; great grandchildren Kaydence, Mya, Channing, Allysa, Payton, Josh, Nathaniel, Grant and Hope; brother Darrell and Penny Fulfer of Davis; sister-in-law Sylvia Iserman of Warren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Paul Church of Epleyanna with Reverend Scott Naevestad and Reverend Dick Thompson officiating.
Burial will be at the Church Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her name for St. Paul Church and FHN Hospice.
