Jennie A. Wilhelms, 94, of Freeport, died Friday, June 17, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
Born January 6, 1917 in rural Forreston, she was the daughter of John and Herma (Weegens) Wilhelms.
She did domestic house cleaning in the area before retiring in 1980.
Jennie was one of the first residents in the Lincoln Towers in Freeport living there for over 30 years.
Surviving are nieces, Barbara (Jerry) Ludewig of Lake Carroll, Donna Wilhelms, Rexana (George) Lamm, and Karen O'Connor all of Freeport; nephews, Harvey (Cathy) Wilhelms, Dale (Nancy) Wilhelms, Leon (Maureen) Wilhelms, and Arnie Wilhelms all of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; Justus, John and Harvey, and 3 sisters; Katherine, Verna and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery in Forreston.
Visitation will be Wednesday 1 p.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
