Obituary

Jennifer Lynn Locascio, 46, Evanston, Ill.
Jennifer Lynn Locascio, of Evanston, Ill., died Sunday, March 12, 2017, in Evanston. Born December 18, 1970, in Park Ridge, Ill., she was the daughter of John and Linda Locascio, of Freeport. She attended Freeport High School and spent her senior year as an exchange student in Germany. Jennifer went on to earn her Bachelor's degree and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
She worked as a consultant for many years in Chicago where she had a great way of connecting with people and clients.
She married Edward Albert Hoke on September 6, 2008 and moved to Evanston. Their daughter Giselle 'Gigi' Annalise Hoke was born on April 30, 2011. Jennifer loved her role as a mother and made sure Gigi was exposed to many activities, from dance class to nature centers to playing soccer. They were regulars on the beaches of Evanston.
She was steadying support for her two step-children she shared with Ed, Natalie and Melodie.

Jennifer loved to travel, and did so extensively for work and pleasure, once traveling around the world for her job in one week. Like all of her family, she loved history and explored it through books, museums and buying way too many antique necklaces. Jennifer studied German in high school and college and always held onto her love of the language and Germany. Through her husband, she found a way to love sports by attending Cubs games and even attended the World Series. Jennifer had a spirit for adventure - If you called her up to go run around the city, or explore a new museum or neighborhood, she always said yes.
She is survived by her husband, Edward, daughter Giselle, her stepdaughters Melodie Hoke and Natalie Hoke, twin sister Anne Locascio, brother Colin Locascio, mother Linda Locascio.
Jennifer was loved by many for her infectious laugh, her positive spirit and her way of connecting with everyone she met. She was a loving, kind, patient and adventurous soul.
