Jeri Jean Stichter, age 69 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born April 1, 1954 in Freeport; the daughter of the late Donald and Mildred (Tempel) Hille. She was a 1972 graduate of Freeport High School. Jeri married Jerry Stichter on July 7, 1985.

Jeri worked at Micro Switch/Honeywell for 37 years. Her hobbies included collecting Coke-a-Cola memorabilia and Cherished Teddies. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Jeri also loved cars, especially her new yellow Camaro. She was a loving and caring wife and mother who was always willing to help her children, family and friends.  Jeri has always had a good and honest heart.  She had always done her best to do right by anyone that she dealt with. Jeri has given so much love and kindness in her life that she will be missed by so many.

Jeri is survived by her husband, Jerry Stichter of Freeport; son, Curt (Johanna) Yoder of Freeport; daughter, Cari Yoder of Freeport; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ed) Clevenz, Steven Yoder, Jaxon Yoder, Jozy Yoder, Jenna Yoder, Autumn (Matt) Larson, Summer Yoder, and Tyson Yoder; great grandchildren, James, Carena, McKenzie, Edward Jr., Theodore, and Lauren; brother, Gary (Suzanne) Hille of Freeport; sisters, Susan Pfeiffer of Freeport and Jill Rouzan of Monroe, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Tony; parents, Donald and Mildred; brothers, Terry Hille and Steven Hille; sisters, Robyn Maves and Jan Thruman; and brother-in-law, Terry Pfeiffer.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. also at Walker Mortuary. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
