Freeport – Jerry L. Edler, 80 of Freeport died at Swedish American Hospital on March 13, 2022 after a brief illness.  He was born on September 24, 1941 in Freeport to the late Gerald and Orelda (Hoebel) Edler.  He married DeAnn Kuhlemeier on June 5, 1965 and together they raised a family.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of Freeport.  He loved old cars, especially Ford Mustangs.  He enjoyed music, flea markets where he collected old memorabilia and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, DeAnn; daughters, Tina (James) Flynn of Fargo, ND; Jodie (Darren) Forseth of Surprise, AZ and his brother Terry (Cathy) Edler of Peoria, AZ.  His legacy also includes grandsons, Cody and Garrett Flynn and Step-grandsons, Tyler and Zach Forseth.

He is preceded in death by his parents. A PUBLIC visitation will be held Thursday, March 17 ^th at 10am at the Chapel of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport.  A PRIVATE family service will follow the visitation.
