Jim Ralph Blunt age 69 of Rock City, IL, passed away November 11, 2019 in his home. He was born on January 28, 1950 in Rockford Illinois, son of Ralph and Ilene (Miller) Blunt. He was the second of three siblings. He was raised in Winnebago Illinois and graduated high school there in 1968.

Jim had many hobbies. He was a lifelong farmer and loved John Deere. He milked cows for 28 years and was still harvesting until his last day. Always driving a Chevy he would love to check crops. He loved the Chicago Bears and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed playing Euchre with uncles and cousins along with horseshoes and golf. He lived his life to its fullest.

Of course spending time with family was his top priority. Jim left behind a very large family. He is survived by his life partner, Teresa Mangrum; brother, Gary Blunt; seven children, Jason (Melissa) Blunt,  Jennifer (Mike) Writt, Megan (Seaver) Sisler, Kimberly (Jason Rollinger) Blunt, Cari (Gabe) Smith, Parker Blunt, and James Blunt; step children, Tonya (Dan) King, Adam Mangrum, Willie (Laura) Mangrum, Adriann (Ben) Suttman, Heath (Shannon) Mangrum, Foster Mangrum; 18 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ilene Blunt; and brother, Lawrence Blunt.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota, IL with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A time of fellowship will follow at the Davis Town Hall.
