Freeport – Joan G. Mulder, 86 of Freeport passed away at Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon, IL on Sunday, April 9. 2023.  She was born on December 24, 1936 in Pecatonica to Joseph and Ruth (Tammling) Klinger.

She was a member of the Winneshiek Evangelical Free Church.  She enjoyed, socializing with friends and family, playing cards, bowling, baking pies and gardening. Her cat, Precious was very special to her as well and was her constant companion.

She is survived by her sons, Tom (Denise) Mulder of Freeport; Tony (Dorene) Mulder of Adeline and Kelly (Tamara) Mulder of Rock City; daughter-in-law, Tammy Mulder as well as her brother, Joe (Judy) Klinger of Cedarville and her sister, Shirley Dunn of Freeport.  She also has several special nieces and nephews. Her legacy also includes 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Terry Mulder; her brother, Rodney Klinger and her granddaughter Sara Mulder.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, April 15 ^th beginning at 10am followed by a service at 11:30am at Winneshiek Evangelical Free Church of Freeport.
