Joan Marie Stevens, 81, of Pecatonica, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
Born December 10, 1930 in Rock Run Township she was the daughter of Schuman J. and Elta E. (Raetz) Daughenbaugh. She married Elwood G. Stevens January 8, 1949 and he died July 8, 2004.
Joan was a 1947 graduate of Dakota High School.
She worked at the Illinois State Police Station, District 16 office, at Pecatonica until her retirement on December 31, 1991.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie L. (Brian) Boomer; 1 grandson, Nicholas D.McGee; 1 great grandson, Morgan McGee all of Pecatonica; two sisters Carol (Leon) Heitter of Ridott, Sharon (Larry) Mains of Shelby Township, MI; several nieces, nephews; extended family Lee and Penny Harbison and family, Gina Stien and her beloved furry granddaughter Baby Grace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 sister in infancy.
