Freeport: Joan M. Waller 70, of Freeport died Tuesday May 10, 2005 at FHN Memorial Hospital, Freeport. Born October 3, 1934 in Freeport, she was the daughter of B.G. and Edna (Wallace) Lameyer. She and Leroy Waller were married in Wyoming in August of 1957.
Mrs. Waller was a horse trainer in the Freeport area for many years and had a great love for all animals.
Surviving is her Husband, Leroy of Freeport, one daughter Leann (Bob) Hille of Lena; one son, Wayne Downing of Huntsville, N.C.; 3 grandchildren Joshua (Alison) Hille of Freeport, Naomi (James) Vinzant of Lena, Matt (Holly St. John) Hille of Freeport; 2 great grandchildren Tyler Vinzant, Morgan Vinzant both of Lena; 2 brothers Walter (Helen) Lameyer of Freeport and William (Betty) Lameyer of Wisconsin.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and one brother.
Funeral service will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Chaplain Don Swanson of FHN Memorial Hospital officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. Visitation will be Thursday
4-7 pm at Walker Mortuary. A memorial has been established in her name.
