JoAnn J. Barthel, 66, of Freeport, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born February 16, 1943 in Freeport, she was the daughter of Edward and Kathryn (Pax) Barthel.
Surviving is her son, Steve Barthel; 4 brothers, Jim Barthel, Gene (Donna) Barthel, Edward Barthel, and Tony (Sharon) Barthel all of Freeport; 3 sisters, Sandy (Gerald) Sollinger and Judy Jones both of Freeport, and Kathy Mickle of Fort Sumner, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Billy Keister.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Walker Mortuary.
Friends may call at time of service on Monday at the Mortuary.
A memorial has been established in her name.
