Joanne F. Meyers, age 86 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 11, 2022. She was born February 22, 1936; the daughter of the late Harry and Florence May Emrick. Joanne was formerly married to Donald W. Meyers.

She graduated from Freeport High School with the class of 1954. Joanne worked at MicroSwitch/Honeywell until retiring. She was a former member of the Freeport Eagles Club and Moose Lodge. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Joanne was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzle books and crafts. She loved wintering in Gulf Shores, AL. She was also a Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching sports.

Joanne is survived by her children, Terri (Kevin) Kubatzke of Freeport, Tim (Teal) Meyers of Roscoe, IL, and Traci (John) Vlahogeorge of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Jason (Barbi) Kubatzke, Justin (Rachel) Kubatzke, Shea Meyers, Jayd Meyers, Kyle Meyers, Kourtney Meyers and Thomas Campbell; great grandchildren, Jocelynn, River, Audrina, and Paisley; brother, Harry Emrick of Colorado; and daughter-in-law, Beth Meyers of Rockton, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Todd and Thomas Meyers.

A private family service will be held. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Freeport. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
